1st Day of School

Last week started a new school year for both Trey & I. I was definitely sad to see the summer and my time with Trey come to an end. Every summer that has passed with Trey has been better than the summer before and it gets harder every year to know my daily time with Trey needs to end in August as always. I loved spending lazy days with Trey while he would tell me the most random stories he could create in his little toddler mind - he never ceased to amaze me day after day this summer. It makes me sad to think that I only spend a few hours with him every night (and very little time in the morning) now that school has started - I definitely look forward to weekends now more than ever!


On the up side I am once again wowed by what Trey learns at school. He has been back for a full week as of yesterday and he has already increased his ability to count - he could previously count up to twenty to and can now count to thirty! My jaw hit the ground the other night as he was randomly counting imaginary planes on his GeoTrax airport and counted up to thirty.

On a happy note (or sad if I really think about how big my baby is getting) - Trey's 3rd birthday is around the corner. He couldn't be more excited to have his party with his friends, sing Happy Birthday, blow out his candles, and open his presents. I love seeing live through the eyes of a toddler!
