Saturday marked the beginning of our summer vacation (yes!!!!!)! We finished packing the van and started driving toward DC. Trey enjoyed the drive (he especially enjoyed snacking in the car).
We arrived outside of DC later that day and Trey helped Margaret make some pizza for the grill.

The next day we were off and driving again. It was thrilling to watch the van make it to 20,000 miles on this trip!

Sunday morning we arrived in Williamsburg and went straight to Busch Gardens to celebrate Father's Day.
Trey was finally tall enough to ride the roller coaster - he has been patiently waiting to ride this thing for a whole year! He is constantly saying everyday how much he LOVES Grover's roller coaster and wants to ride it a lot.

The day was beautiful for a drive through the mountains of Pennsylvania.

Chas & Trey enjoyed riding Prince Elmo's Spire - its nice that we can actually see Trey's face above the harness this year :-)
Trey also got to meet some of his favorite Sesame Street characters - each time he saw one he would leap from the stroller and take off in a sprint to hug each one.

Monday we spent the morning enjoying the water park. Trey has grown so much this year - he will actually let go of us in the pool and float and try to swim on his own with his life jacket.
After some swimming we headed back to the van for some lunch. Trey made an interesting concoction that day - peanut butter, jelly, Cheetos, and cheese. Maybe he'll be a creative chef one day....but most likely not with that recipe :-)
Later that day we ventured back to Busch Gardens. Trey played in the water area of Sesame Land - the water always surprised him! I love his reaction!
