A Walk Back in Time

Last year in Colonial Williamsburg we missed a few places...so this year we visited some of the ones we missed and revisited some old favorites until we couldn't take the heat of the day anymore. One new site was the Governor's Palace Gardens.

We even chased Trey through the hedge maze in the back.

After the gardens we played some colonial games on the lawn. Trey especially liked this game with a dream catcher net and sticks to try and catch it in the air.

Trey loved seeing and petting the horses again this year.

And he loved (at least for the first 5 seconds) being locked up in the stocks.

We had a great walk back through time at the end of the morning. We did as much as a 3 year old's attention span could handle for history - considering he knew rides and roller coasters were 10 minutes down the road - he held out pretty well. I think the heat creeping over 100 got the best of us by the end of the morning - but we walked away with some great new memories!
