One Hot Day

Last weekend we ventured down to Cincinnati to take Trey on his first visit to Kings Island. Thanks to Aunt Shawna and Cincinnati Gam Gam we had free tickets to enjoy the park in the hot and steamy weather :-)

Trey had a great time riding the roller coaster (unfortunately he was 1/2 inch away from being able to ride more than just one of the kiddie coasters). His favorite ride was the "scary castle" as he called it - we rode that at least 7 times (which was great because it was air-conditioned and a relief during the heat of the day).

He even enjoyed some of the characters even though he didn't really know who the Peanuts characters were at the park.

Just like at Busch Gardens he loved the kiddie jumper ride!

And the log ride was a hit here just as it was in Busch Gardens. Trey is definitely a product of our love of rides and roller coasters - we can't wait to take him to Cedar Point one day - in the very distant future - when he can ride all of our favorite roller coasters! Until that day all the tot-sized rides will have to do!

During the weekend we saw some beautiful sunsets along with a great fire on the patio.

And the trip home was only made better by a stop to the Cheesebarn for some sweet treats (Trey was just as excited as we were to stop for some treats!).
