Free Fun

I've always been a sucker for a great deal - so last summer when I came across a page in Parents magazine with ideas for free or low priced family fun I tore it out and took advantage of a few of their suggestions.

A free idea Trey & I took advantage of at the end of last summer was Regal Cinema's Family Film Festival. Every Tuesday and Wednesday at 10:00 they offer two movies (G & PG) for free. The past two weeks we've traveled to Crocker Park to see Surf's Up and Doogal. Yesterday after the movie we headed to the water area where Trey ran through all the water sprinklers shooting from the ground.

This summer we also signed up for Kids Bowl Free. By the time I found out about Kids Bowl Free last summer it was already August and a little too late to bother with signing up. So when May rolled around this year we jumped right in and signed up. Chas loves bowling so we added ourselves to the pass for less than $25 for the whole summer for 2 free games of bowling a day! We've been bowling several times and I must admit my favorite part is seeing Trey in his toddler-sized bowling shoes walking down the alley!

The final free deal we frequently take advantage of is kids eat free. I think we've got a pretty good short list we've put together over the years. Tuesday - we just found out - is kids eat free at Champps. Their kids meal is a great deal to begin with since it already includes a drink (especially since they have milk) and ice cream. So we ventured out to Champps last night and enjoyed some half-priced appetizers and Trey's free meal.
