After church and dinner on Saturday night we realized that Easter was only a week away! I promptly hard-boiled some eggs, Chas dug out all the Easter egg decorating kits in the basement, and we all channeled some creative energy and began decorating.
After dying the eggs on Saturday night we snapped a picture of our finished products - Trey even wrote his name on an egg this year while I did an egg for everyone else in the family.
Sunday morning Trey decided we weren't quite done decorating yet. He found a mini-monsters egg decorating kit in the Easter box with stickers and hair and wanted to add some more details to his eggs. So...we took the eggs out of the fridge and began decorating once again. Trey specially designed an egg for every member of the family while Chas was officially given the task of applying all of their hair.
Even little Xavier joined in the Easter fun - we brought him in the kitchen to watch all the action. We introduced him to his first plastic Easter eggs (poor little Xavier has no clue what a crazy little family he has joined!). :-)
Here is a close-up of some of my personal favorite eggs of the weekend. The one on the far left of the front row has a mohawk and the one on the far right is sporting a stylish soul patch thanks to Chas's creativity. Trey definitely got a kick out of decorating these eggs this year!
