Happy 3 Months!

It is hard to believe that 3 short months ago little Xavier joined our family.  I honestly don't know where these months have gone - it feels like in the blink of an eye my newest baby isn't quite a baby anymore.

Little Xavier is getting his own little personality.  He has been talking and cooing and gurgling to us for quite some time now.  I love to have little conversations with him and just hear him talk back to me.

I love to get him in the morning and after his naps when he is just in his crib talking to himself and the minute he sees and hears me he stops to give me the most unbelievable smile!

And his most recent development is the beginnings of a giggle.  Last week I heard him begin to giggle for the first time - I can't wait to hear more of those amazing little sounds as these summer days pass.

After a bath yesterday morning Trey & I were playing with Xavier in his room.  Trey gave Xavier the OSU lovey we bought for him to play with.  I couldn't believe how huge it seemed next to little Xavier and decided to take a picture of how his lovey was bigger than him.  It is only a matter of a few growth spurts before Xavier outgrows his lovey!

This weekend Chas helped me get a picture of Xavier's chubby little cheeks when he smiles.  All I want to do is pinch and kiss that tiny little ball that appears on each cheek every time he hams it up for the camera.  I also love all his cute little baby rolls on his legs and arms.  He's really getting to be our little chunky monkey just like Trey was when he was a baby.

I couldn't help but compare some pictures of Xavier from last month when he was just two months old to see how much he's changed.  Just last month he was learning how to smile - now he has a personality all his own and is really starting to grow some fuzzy little hair on top of his head.

Now he's also really getting his head up really high and holding it for longer during tummy time.  He's also starting to pick up his back legs and balance on his little tummy.

It will be interesting to see what he learns to do during this next month (although I wish I could hit pause right about now).
