Boy? Girl? Who knows...

But the one thing I do know for certain is it has been SO exciting to NOT know! Everyday I waver back and forth between boy or girl and it makes the end when we will finally find out the sex of the baby so much more exciting to me.

For the longest time I truly thought this baby was a boy (I was so convinced that I told Chas I didn't think we needed to bring any girl's clothes to the hospital)...I guess I never considered the 50% shot that it could be a girl - I've been so used to thinking boy for the last 4 years I didn't even weigh a girl as an option. But, right before winter break some ladies from work told me they thought it was a girl. Which got me thinking...this baby could actually be a girl!

Since having that revelation I decided that I need to mentally wrap my head around the chance that this baby could come out as a girl. With that in mind - I also thought it was probably a good idea to get my coming home outfit and little tiny shoes from my mom to bring to the hospital in addition to Chas's coming home outfit so we're prepared either way. They're both so cute side-by-side that it is starting to make me REALLY excited to meet our new little one!

Winter break has also been a great time to start preparing some other things we've been putting off until after Christmas. We have very slowly started clearing out the guest room to turn into the new baby's room. Next, Chas will paint and we'll get the crib out of the basement and go through the process of reassembling it for the newest addition to our family.

Over break I finally secured a daycare opening for the new baby (which was a huge relief as the baby is at the WAY bottom of the daycare waiting list where Trey went and currently goes to Pre-K). I also booked Trey's Big Brother Class, our prenatal review class (its been a LONG time since we've done this whole labor/baby thing...), and our tour of the hospital.

Now that we're starting to get some items checked off our "to-do" list I feel a little more prepared, relieved, and excited for this baby. I am excited to pack up the boy and girl outfits for the hospital. I'm also excited to pack my cute hospital/nursing gown Chas got me for a Christmas surprise - I really love that man!

But for now I'm just thrilled being pregnant (with my 27 week belly). I love this time...I love the baby kicks, I love my big belly (that is getting bigger by the day), and I love talking to Trey about the baby. I could be pregnant for a lot longer than 9 months - it goes way too fast for me. I am already amazed that we only have 3 months left to be a family of 3 - but I'm excited to see what it will be like to be a fun family of 4 :-)
